The content for the Blind Baby Safe Mobility Program has been developed to empower professionals and caregivers in facilitating safe, independent walking for toddlers with MVI/B. The curriculum’s 10 chapters (attached) address the why and how children with disabilities use the pediatric belt cane, and how to foster a collaborative team approach that prioritizes safe mobility across the child’s daily routine. We provide evidence-based, practical tools, assessments, and instructional strategies that support the developmental milestones and daily physical activity goals of toddlers navigating the world without sight.
